CEIS | Clover Leaf Solutions is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer (Civil) to provide engineering support for large-scale construction projects. This role involves overseeing construction quality, safety, scheduling, cost control, and compliance while interfacing with design, procurement, security, safety, and quality control teams. The ideal candidate will ensure construction activities meet the highest standards while supporting project completion and system turnover. Work will be on-site full-time in Aiken, South Carolina. 

THIS POSITION REQUIRES ELIGIBILITY FOR GOVERNEMENT CLEARANCE, US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED. 

Responsibilities: Provide engineering support to superintendents and craft teams, ensuring materials, equipment, and workmanship meet design requirements. Ensure all construction activities are executed safely, with a focus on quality, cost control, and schedule adherence. Interface and coordinate with design, procurement, security, safety, operations, health physics, and quality control to ensure seamless project execution. Develop construction scope turnover packages and coordinate system completion and testing activities. Direct the preparation of work packages and ensure craft teams understand specific requirements. Maintain quality control standards and coordinate with design agencies to address new designs or design changes. Lead constructability programs, providing technical expertise on construction methods and best practices. Oversee subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with contract documents, materials, and workmanship requirements. Provide construction testing and startup services, as well as nonconformance report and corrective action request dispositioning. Design temporary construction facilities as needed. Assist in establishing maintenance requirements for permanent plant equipment. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 5-7 years of construction engineering experience OR Associate’s degree with 7-9 years of relevant experience OR High school diploma with 10-14 years of practical experience. Experience in system testing and operations for system turnover. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance (an active clearance is not initially required). Preferred: Candidates with an active or recent DOE "L" or "Q" security clearance (within the past 2 years) are preferred. Leadership training in methods improvement is desirable. Work Schedule: Standard 40-hour workweek with flexible scheduling options (5/8s, 4/10s, or 9/80s). Overtime may be required based on project demands at the discretion of management.
