Job Description

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.Assist and advise discipline Managers & Superintendents to develop budgets, e.g., by providing insights into financial data and consolidating inputs.Provide business case modelling support for on-site SIB capital, make recommendations on capital expenditure decisions to the disciplines.Support preparation of financial forecasts that includes forward looking risks and opportunities.Collate & discuss discipline input into OMS.Collaborate with discipline to develop risk register, proactively providing financial evaluation (cost/capital) of risk mitigation strategies.Provide risk input to Commercial Manager.Serve as contact point for financial information & detailed advice for finance discipline teams.Provide discipline-specific financial reports and analysis.Support tracking of discipline financial performance against plan, enriching financial reports with operational commentary discussed with disciplines.Facilitate in-depth discussion of deviations from plan, identifying and communicating operational root causes to financial performance.Collaborate with discipline management to identify cost improvement opportunities.Understanding of underlying op. processes and value drivers of respective operational disciplines.Prepare in-depth fin. data analysis and business cases to support improvement efforts.Drive delivery the sustainability activities as relevant to discipline and set out in the Life of Asset Plan to improve sustainability performance over time.Support the development of, and ultimately implement, a purpose-led, high-performing culture within the teams that is aligned with the company values, is inclusive and promotes diversity.Ensure all members within the teams have the knowledge and skills to perform their roles.Develop plans to address knowledge and skill gaps in the team through development and coaching.Manage compliance of the teams within work area with external (legislative, regulatory, permitting) local requirements as a minimum level of site performance.

This role is at band 6 level and reporting to the Commercial Manager.

QualificationsPostgraduate/Tertiary qualifications within Business Accounting, Finance, Economics

Experiences

5 years post qualification experience, of which 3 years should be within the mining industryKey value drivers within discipline's value chain and interdependence of key leversPrinciples of how operational processes are classified according to the Operating Model with a focus on Work ManagementProject management fundamentalsUnderstanding and ensuring compliance with data policy for their teamsAppreciate privacy and safe handling of all kinds of data, sensitive or otherwiseCommercial drivers of site performanceLeadership tools for implementing a culture of purpose–led high performance and change
