Senior Commercial Closing Specialist

In the Senior Commercial Closing Specialist role, you are responsible for all aspects of closing and managing a portfolio of loan transactions. The position supports the strategic goals of Commercial Operations, Business Banking, and Private Bank by delivering efficient, effective, top-quality support and customer service.  You will communicate with business partners and counsel; enforce risk controls; maintain data governance and comply with appropriate policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.

Primary responsibilities include

Effectively manage a pipeline of new loan closings, modifications, and renewals across a spectrum of product offerings, including C&I, CRE, Partner Lending, and SBL transactions.  Prepare and perform a qualitative review of loan documents, collect and review due diligence and related documents for compliance with the loan approval, adherence to policies and regulations and to mitigate operational and reputation risk.Book & fund transactions within Citizens' loan accounting system (AFS).Ensure the highest-level data quality, including all financial data, for assigned pipeline.Interact with business partners to provide seamless execution.Resource to junior level colleagues for process, procedures, and subject matter expertise.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

5+ years of experience in the closing and documentation of commercial loan transactions required.  Experience supporting Private Bank clientele is strongly preferred.Subject matter expert for understanding and managing the closing and administrative needs associated with complex transactions.Proven success in all facets of the loan process, including operational, systems, financial, regulatory, accounting and customer service.Detail oriented to maintain high degree of accuracy in execution and data quality.Comprehensive analytical ability to facilitate complex problem resolution.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.AFS loan accounting system experience preferred.Laser Pro loan documentation system experience preferred.

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40Work Schedule: M-F, 11am-8pm. Must be available to accommodate West Coast support as needed; at least three in office workdays a week
