Description
In the Senior Commercial Closing Specialist role, you are responsible for all aspects of closing and managing a portfolio of simple to medium complexity lead agent syndicated transactions. The position supports the strategic goals of credit management through loan distribution and you will have responsibility for managing the reputation and operational risk associated with these transactions. Additionally, you will negotiate loan agreements; communicate with investors, business partners and counsel; enforce risk controls; maintain data governance and comply with appropriate policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
Primary responsibilities include
Perform a qualitative review of syndicated loan agreements, collect and review due diligence and related documents for compliance with the loan approval, adherence to policies and regulations and to mitigate operational and reputation risk.Effectively manage, as administrative agent, the investors by ensuring timely, proper and effective communication utilizing market standard processes (Intralinks, etc.).Book, fund and manage assignment distribution of assigned transactions within Citizens' loan accounting and/or loan trading systems.Ensure the highest level data quality, including all financial data, for assigned portfolio.Interact with business partners to provide seamless execution.Resource to junior level colleagues with process and procedures.Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
5+ years Syndicated credit administration experience required5+ years experience in the closing and administration of lead agent syndicated transactions requiredSubject matter expert for understanding and managing the closing and administrative needs associated with complex syndicated transactions and trading assetsProven success in all facets of the syndicated loan process, including operational, systems, financial, regulatory, accounting and customer service.Detail oriented to maintain high degree of accuracy in execution and data qualityComprehensive analytical ability to facilitate complex problem resolutionWell developed written and verbal communication skillsAdept at PC and mainframe applicationsLoan IQ system experience, preferredEducation: Bachelor’s degree preferred
