The Senior Commercial Analyst is responsible for optimizing pricing strategies and ensuring alignment with commercial objectives through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration. This role involves analysing market trends, supporting negotiations, and enhancing process efficiencies to drive business performance
About the Role:
As our Senior Commercial Analyst, you will:
Refine and optimise pricing strategies for selected products and services.
Ensure all pricing policies are in sync with our commercial objectives and adaptable to market conditions.
Monitor and analyse pricing trends, recommending adjustments to keep us ahead of the curve.
Ensure compliance with all deal memos and contractual agreements, maintaining the highest standards of integrity.
Play a crucial role in negotiations, supporting favourable deal terms and conditions.
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to maintain accurate documentation and records.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, driving continuous improvement within the team.
Work closely with sales, finance, and legal teams to ensure cohesive pricing strategies.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align on pricing initiatives and changes, ensuring transparency and collaboration.
Take responsibility for all approvals, commercial, and pricing-based reporting, delivering insights that shape our strategy.
Conduct competitive pricing reviews across different regions to keep us competitive globally.
Engage in due diligence activities that support strategic decision-making.
Help define the technical roadmap to ensure Salesforce represents our pricing policy accurately.
Analyse pricing and sales data and share insights on the effectiveness of our pricing strategy
Can identify, assess, and review data with a view to presenting strategic insights to management
Ad hoc analysis to investigate business performance/trends
About You
To be our Senior Commercial Analyst you will likely have:
Strong understanding of financial principles, pricing strategies, and market dynamics to ensure pricing aligns with commercial objectives.Ability to analyse large datasets, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in using analytical tools and software is crucial.Embody a “test and learn” mentality to drive resultsExcellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas and generate buy-in from key stakeholdersExperience managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a structured and logical wayIdentifying and implementing process improvements, addressing complex business challenges.Be willing to learn and explore, be eager to work with others and have the right attitude to be a team playerTechnical Skills:
Advanced MS Excel skills (pivots, charts etc.)Knowledge of data visualization tools (for e.g. Tableau)Salesforce experienceAbility to conceptualize and build templates to represent dataFamiliarity with SQL is a plus as is some programming knowledge#LI-FP3
