Senior Commercial Analyst

Position Summary
The Sr. Commercial Analyst will report into the Associate Director, US Operations and play a pivotal role in supporting business strategy by measuring the performance of commercial operations in the market. This includes comprehensive patient and sales data analysis to provide a comprehensive view of potential actionable insights, as well as identifying evolving reporting requirements to empower data-driven business decisions. The Sr. Commercial Analyst will leverage complex datasets and advanced applications to develop automated, scalable reports and dashboards, delivering high-impact insights for the US Commercial Leadership Team.
This role will take ownership of building and maintaining robust commercial databases, including overseeing data mastering and managing relational datasets. The Sr. Commercial Analyst will be instrumental in the development, monitoring, and refinement of key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate commercial effectiveness. They are expected to ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards, supporting the regular reporting cadence and facilitating data-driven strategy development.
Collaboration across key functional areas—including Finance, IT, Sales & Marketing, Market Access, and Patient Services— and engagement with Data Vendors and Trade Accounts is essential for this role, as Sr. Commercial Analyst will lead cross-functional initiatives that help support the drive for business optimization and strategic growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Lead the development and continuous refinement of KPIs in partnership with the Commercial Team to drive business performance.
2. Architect, maintain, and optimize commercial databases, ensuring data mastering and integrity across relational datasets.
3. Design and deliver advanced dashboards and reports, providing comprehensive insights into core metrics and KPIs to enable strategic decision-making.
4. Support territory mapping and sales force alignment data with potential opportunity to partner with Sales Management to identify opportunities / issues and carry out adjustments.
5. Assist in the creation, design, implementation, and reporting of the sales force incentive compensation plan with weekly updates by territory and region.
6. Create and maintain patient demand forecasting models to support strategic planning and operational activities.
7. Conduct in-depth analyses to identify trends, diagnose root causes of performance issues, and develop data-driven recommendations for improvement.
8. Provide support to ad hoc projects, such as data and insights for Trade Accounts QBRs, ensuring outcomes are aligned with overall commercial strategy and business objectives.
Requirements
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Business, Finance/Accounting, Physics, Statistics, or a related field required.
Professional Work Experience Requirements
• 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to develop interactive dashboards.
• Strong understanding of commercial metrics, forecasting methodologies, and the pharmaceutical market landscape.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Travel
