Your impact

The Senior Cloud Application Engineer will be responsible for providing support and review for all activities related to hosted Applications on the Cloud. This individual must thoroughly understand current design and have hands-on technical experience. The role will also help support the development of innovative solutions in cloud and infrastructure technologies.

Collaborate with teams from Product Development, Professional Services and Customer Support teams to Deploy Services / ApplicationsBe an expert on Datacenter migration of Applications/Services and Disaster Recovery Planning & executionWork on the Post Implementation Review process for bugs, fixes, and issues encountered in active production instancesActively support production incidents, problems, and root cause analysisProvide feedback to the Engineering and Professional Services teams to make services stable and resilientDevelop and enhance Automated operations actions for Deployments, Support, and Maintenance activitiesDeploy on Containerized Services into PaaS InfrastructureKnowledge on integration points of hosted Applications and related implementation expert for CloudOpsWork with 3rd party vendors and their support organizations for any impact to OT hosted solutionsAbility to prioritize work to ensure timely project deliveries

 

What you need to succeed

Relevant experiences in Application Administration and Middleware Administration Experienced in container-based Application Deployments and DevOps toolsExperienced in CD, J2EE, experienced with good skills in Automation: Ansible/Chef/Puppet. etc.,Advanced level skills in Python and/or Shell ScriptingFamiliarity with Tomcat, WebLogic, WebMethods integration platform and technologies such as JMS Broker ActiveMQ, and Apache webserversWorking experience on RedHat and Windows Operations Systems based Physical / VM MachinesFamiliarity with LoadBalancers/F5, Firewalls, SMTP, DNS Services, and Networking protocolsAbility to prioritize and manage time effectively, ensuring consistent productivity in a dynamic environment

Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with in Dockers and Kubernetes based deploymentsReview product design documents to ensure compliance with architecture standardsProficiency in writing scripts (bash, ksh, perl, Powershell , Expect, AWK, Python is a plus)Expertise in analyzing Application containers performance, reviewing JVM Settings & thread dumpsDeveloping and maintaining detailed documentation of work

Advantage:

Strong analytical and problem-solving techniquesExperience with monitoring tools such as HP OM, New Relic, Zabbix, etc.Understanding of ITIL processes
