Senior Client Advisor, Surety

We are seeking a talented individual to join our US Surety team at Marsh. This role can be based in any US office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Marsh’s dedicated team of global surety specialists can help businesses implement strategies and solutions to release credit capacity and mitigate financial risks.

We leverage our industry expertise within the practice, along with our experience, to develop unique surety solutions across different industries and geographies. We also support our client’s profitable growth by going beyond their balance sheet to explore tailored solutions based on their underlying assets.

We will count on you to:

Independently handle the largest or most complex accounts and bring entire team together to formulate procedure and go to market strategy in conjunction with senior leadership.

Consistently maintain complete understanding of clients’ business strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs and provide advice accordingly to successfully serve clients.

Oversee development, presentation and execution of renewal/placement strategies developed by more junior colleagues in conjunction with Placement, Advisory Leaders and Client Executives across all zones where product, industry or account criteria dictate.

Lead presentations to prospective clients, identify need for new products and develop innovative solutions to client and client team members.

Oversee production of all client deliverables by more junior colleagues and be responsible to ensure quality in all areas of client deliverables.

Engage in independent, senior-level client interaction and demonstrate expertise in problem solving, areas of coverage and client relationships.

What you need to have:

10+ years in the Surety industry, 5+ years as a broker

Bachelors Degree

What makes you stand out:

Experience in senior role at a Surety or Brokerage

Currently handles substantial book of construction clients

Significant experience as an underwriter or broker with ENR 400 accounts

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $183,300 to $443,500.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
