The Senior Claim Examiner is responsible for managing and adjusting claims pertaining to E&O Professional Liability. Ensure high level of customer service and technical claim file quality.

Provides outstanding customer service and works well with the insured, broker and TPA in the adjustment of E&O Claims Analyzes coverage and communicates coverage positions, as warranted, under direction of supervisor and coverage unit. Conducts, coordinates, and directs investigation into loss facts and extent of third-party damages. Directs and closely monitors assignments to experts and defense counsel. Evaluates information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine the extent of exposure to the insured and the company. Sets reserves within authority or makes claim recommendations concerning reserve changes to supervisor. Reports to reinsurers and facilitates the prompt collection of reinsurance on those matters where they are accountable. Travels to conferences, mediations, and trials as necessary. This position reports to a line of business Claims Team Leader, Claims Manager or other more senior claims leader.REQUIREMENTS:
Authoritative knowledge of Chubb Should have a high degree of specialized and technical competence in the handling claims pertaining to E&O Professional Liability Minimum of 1-3 years in claims handling experience. College degree or equivalent business experience. Ability to work independently and assimilate learning materials on many different subjects from various sources. Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills. Must be able to effectively work in a team environment. Ability to work with TPA’s and large accounts in a professional manner. Authoritative knowledge of Chubb coverage, products, services, and liabilities.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Should have technical competence in the handling of E&O claims J.D. preferred but not required. Experience in handling claims in all 50 states If you do not already have one, you will be required to obtain an applicable resident or designated home state adjusters license and possibly additional state licensure.The pay range for the role is $79,000to $134,300. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
