We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Estimator to help lead Colorado Springs office. This company has good team camaraderie and great retention. The other Senior Civil Estimator has been at the company for over 15 years. This company has a strong presence in the Colorado market and has been around for over 25 years. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of estimating experience, excavation and site utilities, HeavyBid, and Bluebeam experience.
ResponsibilitiesPerform takeoffs, site visits, gathering quotes, and working with subcontractorsManage multiple estimates and coordinate with other divisions and personnel for projectsStudy job specifications and evaluate construction methods to determine cost impacts for estimatesPerform digital and/or plan takeoffs for project quantities and scopesContact vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for quotesAccurately forecast costs of earthwork and utility scopes for proposalsConduct site visits and job walks as necessary for estimatingInterpret and explain costs and budgets to project management and field personnel as needed during constructionStrive for excellence in every estimate to achieve optimal results and goalsPossess an ownership attitude and be willing to grow and mentor other team membersQualificationsMinimum 10 years of estimating excavation and site utilities projectsExperience running estimating departmentExperience with Heavy Bid and Bluebeam (or similar software)Experience with projects over $5MCivil Engineering or Construction degree preferred but not requiredWork Environment
This company is based in Denver Metro and they are looking to grow their Colorado Springs Office. This company self-performs a variety of services including site utilities, milling, asphalt, paving, grading, concrete, and earthwork.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $67.30/hr.
