Responsibilities Design of water and wastewater treatment facilitiesPlans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of small to medium sizesResponsible for budget, schedule and quality standardsHas full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignmentsResponsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to civil/environmental engineering fieldCarries out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures to create new or refined equipment, material, processes or methodsAssists in proposal preparation and interviews and may be included in contract negotiations with clients after selectionDevelops relationships with existing clients and has responsibility for client maintenance at staff level on existing projectsWorks closely with subconsultants on projectsActive in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventionsTravel required when requested Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering10-15 years of wastewater design experience in the field of environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant designRegistration as a Professional EngineerMust have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standardsExperience designing wastewater treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparationAbility to communicate effectively with clients and project teamDeliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraintsExperience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projectsProficient in MS Word and Excel Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering Other Compensation and BenefitsCarollo is committed to providing employees with a competitive, comprehensive benefits program that provides the care employees and their families need to lead healthy, productive lives.
