Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description

A prominent design and construction firm in Vancouver is seeking a senior engineer to enhance their team. This role involves expanding the company's expertise in large-scale utility projects, such as welded steel watermains, sanitary interceptors, and marine crossings, while also supporting ongoing projects throughout western Canada. You'll collaborate with talented junior and intermediate engineers who will assist you from the proposal stage through to construction.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop comprehensive engineering assessments, designs, drawings, and specifications for a variety of municipal and private land development projects.Engage in design work for water and wastewater systems, transportation infrastructure, retaining walls, erosion control measures, grading and drainage plans, and site servicing.Transform preliminary concepts and sketches into detailed engineering designs and plans using Civil 3D and other relevant technical software.Assist in the preparation of approval documents, create construction cost estimates, tender documents, and contracts, and collaborate with team members to meet schedules, budgets, and quality standards.Perform field inspections to ensure the quality and progress of ongoing work.Essential SkillsOver 15 years of experience in a similar role, including experience in leading and mentoring teams of junior and intermediate engineers.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.Proven experience in managing and executing projects such as welded steel watermains, sanitary interceptors, and marine crossings.Demonstrated high productivity, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $76.00 - $81.00/hr.
