GDIT is seeking a Senior Capture Director with primary responsibility for leading and winning new business opportunities with the Maryland Procurement Office (MPO) and US CYBERCOMMAND (USCC) markets. The successful candidate will report to the Growth Lead, National Security Sector (NSS) as part of the Intelligence and Homeland Security (IHS) Growth team. You will lead pre-proposal shaping activities, orchestrate capture activities during the proposal phase and post-submittal activities, and must show a proven methodology toward increasing win probability. This position provides an outstanding opportunity to play a leadership role as we work together to apply the breadth of resources available in our organization to critical technology and mission challenges across the Intelligence Community. HOW A CAPTURE SR DIRECTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
In this position, you will be responsible for leading capture activities in support of winning key opportunities within the Enterprise IT business of the National Security Sector. As a Senior Capture Director, you will be responsible for pursuing and winning new business contracts with a values ranging up to $2B. You will be a key member of the Growth Team, collaborating with operations and engineering personnel across business units to capture and win Enterprise IT opportunities primarily within MPO and USCC-based customer markets.

Responsible for pursuing Enterprise IT (and related) opportunities within the Federal (MPO, USCC and DoD Cyber) space.Provide strategic thinking and execution for capture efforts through determining capture team resource requirements and managing costs throughout the Bid Acquisition Process.Engage with customers, partners, and other relevant stakeholders to qualify new business opportunities.Interfaces between Business Development and internal and external stakeholders (Business Units, Operations and Engineering Staff, and Corporate functional organizations) to develop technical, management and pricing strategies.Understand capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses and direct the development of solution development, CONOPS and path to win.Manage multiple capture efforts in conjunction depending upon where the opportunity resides in the acquisition process.Provide customer and business knowledge through business intelligence to ensure the team fully understands the desires and needs of the customers and the capabilities of potential competitors.Develop win themes and strategies including value propositions. Identify and obtain commitment from industry partners to include OEMs to bridge gaps and increase the Pwin.Establish value added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to create a profitable return at a winning cost.Co-Lead with cost estimating team the pricing strategy to provide alignment to the solution and the optimal cost advantage for the bid.Co-Lead with Proposal Manager the color team reviews to ensure that reviews are conducted in a repeatable manner adhering to procedures and processes.Supports continual business development process improvement.Responsible for capturing, documenting, maintaining and reporting capture and pursuit metrics.Meets and/or exceeds performance goals in support of overall corporate growth and success while maintaining and implementing a professional approach to include full awareness and compliance of applicable Federal Procurement and Business Ethics Codes and Regulations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Candidates must have ten years of proven experience capturing and winning new business ($250M+ opportunities) in the Maryland Intelligence market. 

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Marketing, Engineering etc… technical discipline preferred) + 15 years of professional experience to include: engineering, business operations, BD/Sales. May consider additional experience in lieu of degree or Master’s degree in relevant field preferred (e.g. MBA; or MS in Engineering, Computer Science etc.) + 10 years of professional experience to include: engineering, business operations, BD/Sales. 10 years of relevant business development, capture, proposal, and/or government sales/marketing experience in the MPO market. Must have a demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage a high performance team of professionals towards achieving business objectives. This includes experience running black hats, analyzing competitive landscapes, leading review teams, and the ability to develop and implement creative strategies into winning bids including a thorough understanding of price to win analysis. Must demonstrate strong quantitative and analysis skills to analyze market and customer trends and be well versed in industry practices/trends/leaders with knowledge of respective acquisition/procurement policies and regulations. Must also possess excellent written/verbal communications skills, presentation skills, organizational time management skills; team building skills, and display a strong sales presence.  Must have a proven track record of identifying, qualifying, and assisting capture and proposal efforts in support of winning large, technology-based solutions contracts within the Federal Government with emphasis on MPO.Knowledge of major industry competitors in Maryland (Ft. Meade area) required.

Department of Defense TS/SCI w/full scope poly security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The likely salary range for this position is $229,500 - $310,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
