**Summary**
The Senior Buyer is responsible for both strategic and tactical purchasing activities to ensure optimal material availability and supplier performance. This role requires strong supplier collaboration, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives to support business needs.
**What You Will Do**
+ Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely purchase order placement and order confirmations.
+ Communicate forecast requirements to suppliers and maintain accurate master data in transactional systems.
+ Act as the first point of contact for supplier issues, supporting Associate Buyers and Buyers with escalations.
+ Monitor supplier performance, track key KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Represent the purchasing function in cross-functional meetings and supplier discussions.
+ Identify supply chain risks and lead improvement projects internally and externally.
+ Support invoice resolution in collaboration with Accounts Payable.
+ Train and mentor team members, ensuring best practices in purchasing activities.
**What You Need**
Required:
+ Degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
+ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Manufacturing.
+ Proficiency in written and spoken English (second language may be required based on supplier base).
Preferred:
+ Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE.
+ Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
+ Prior experience in supplier relationship management and regulated industries (e.g., medical devices).
+ Understanding of continuous improvement and cost reduction methodologies.
