The successful candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between our IT teams (EDI and SAP), business stakeholders and customer business needs by defining and managing integration solutions such as EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and API connections. This role requires a deep understanding of technical aspects, ERP (SAP) capabilities, business process and the business requirements of our customers in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry. The Senior Business Integrations Specialist will work closely with both IT teams and business stakeholders to design, implement, test and maintain seamless integration solutions that support our customer-facing processes, enhance data flows, and streamline supply chain operations. Be Bridgestone. **Responsibilities** **Integration Design & Development:** + Work closely with IT and business teams to gather, document, and analyze customer requirements for integration projects. + Develop, configure, and maintain integration solutions such as EDI and API connections to ensure seamless data exchange between the company and external partners (customers, suppliers, third-party systems). + Design and implement data mapping, transformation, and translation rules for EDI and API integrations. + Conduct testing of integration solutions and provide debugging support as needed. **Customer & Business Collaboration:** + Act as the primary point of contact for customers’ integration needs and ensure solutions meet their expectations. + Understand business workflows and customer processes, translating these into technical integration requirements. + Facilitate ongoing communication with customers regarding integration progress, issues, and updates. **Project Management & Documentation:** + Lead integration project timelines, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met. + Prepare technical documentation, including integration specifications, workflows, and test cases for the business side (acceptance criteria to ensure ERP capabilities exist and integration mapping is sufficient) + Ensure integration solutions comply with industry standards + Ensure standardization of business process **System Support & Troubleshooting:** + Provide post-implementation support for integrations, resolving any issues related to EDI and API connections. + Continuously monitor integrations for performance, availability, and accuracy. + Troubleshoot and resolve any connectivity issues between systems and customer networks. **Continuous Improvement:** + Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to integrations (EDI, API, and other data exchange methods). + Recommend and implement improvements for existing integrations to optimize performance and functionality. + Recommend best practices for ERP standardization and utilization to optimize efficient, accurate and repeatable data exchange with suppliers and customers. + Collaborate with the IT team to integrate new technologies, tools, or systems to further enhance integration processes. + Other duties as assigned **Skills & Competencies:** + Strong understanding of business processes in the automotive or manufacturing sectors. + Experience with integration and mapping tools, data formats (XML, JSON, EDIFACT, etc.), and message protocols. + Solid knowledge of relational databases (SQL), data query languages, and database management. + Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear business solutions. + Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail. **Preferred:** + Familiarity with the automotive industry’s specific requirements and data exchange standards (e.g., VDA, ODETTE). + Understanding of supply chain processes, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay workflows, and inventory management in the context of the automotive sector. **Personal Attributes:** + Proactive, with a solution-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities. + Strong team player with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams (IT, business, customers). + Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external customers and internal stakeholders. **Candidates must already be located in the greater Nashville, TN area. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. + 5+ years of experience in integration development, ideally in the automotive, commercial vehicle, or manufacturing industries. + Proven experience with EDI and API integration, including knowledge of integration protocols. + Experience with integration platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling, SAP PI/PO) is a plus. **What we offer** At Bridgestone, what really matters is to foster co-creation opportunities and empowering you to be creative and curious to make mobility safer, more efficient, and more sustainable for future generations.
