Job Description

The successful incumbent will form part of the OMIG Retail Client Management team, and will liaise with Retail Multi Managers, Fund of Funds (FoF), Discretionary Fund Managers (DFM) and other key stakeholders along the retail investment value chain to grow OMIG’s market share.

Engages clients to grow OMIG market share in terms of investment capabilities and related services.Successfully influences other key stakeholders along the retail investment value chain (upstream and downstream) to achieve the primary objective above.Influences business planning process for OMIG Retail Clients.Has a strong relationship and networking focus and established relationships to accomplish sales targetsDeals at a corporate executive levelDevelops an action plan around how to deliver NCCF budgetUnderstands OMIG’s capabilities, markets, economic and political opportunities in the regionBuilds and develops a pipeline of prospective clients within the defined market.Ensures compliance with financial services regulationsRealises sales of corporate/institutional investment products in pipelineProvides advice and consults on a wide range of products & investments to corporate/institutional clientsSuccessfully develops and leverages CRM system to optimize OMIG market share in clients.  Maintains and services existing clients by doing ongoing account management duties including but not limited to due diligences, report backs and client visitsIdentifies threats to existing accounts and drives appropriate action to retain assetsPlays a team role in sales and retention of institutional clients and fulfils reporting processes and business practices for these clientsEnsures sales targets are met and existing assets are retained

Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required

A relevant tertiary qualification in the commerce field.Masters level or beyond Investments related qualificationFAIS compliantA minimum of 5 years of experience in account management with institutional clientsExceptional sales capability (demonstrable).Exceptional relationship building, growing and retention capability (demonstrable).Highly technical understand and application of investment capabilities (demonstrable).
