TalentWorld is hiring a Senior Business Analyst, Accounts Payable on behalf of one of our esteemed clients in the healthcare sector. This is an exciting 18-month temporary opportunity based in Toronto, ON, where you'll play a key role in supporting AP operations, driving process improvements, and contributing to financial reporting and compliance efforts within a dynamic finance team.

Job Responsibilities: Support the AP Manager in overseeing daily operations of the accounts payable department, including vendor engagement and transaction processing. Lead month-end and year-end close activities, prepare journal entries, and support quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring alignment with BPSAA and audit requirements. Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor AP performance and identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes across the P2P lifecycle. Maintain and enhance internal control procedures, policies, and standards to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with procurement guidelines. Lead and support AP-related projects, facilitating process change and cross-functional collaboration with departments like Procurement, IT, and Clinical. Serve as the key contact for internal/external audits related to AP; perform detailed reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in sub-ledgers and general ledger accounts. Job Qualifications: Degree in Business or Commerce with a major in accounting from a recognized university is mandatory.
3–5 years of post-qualification experience in accounting or finance, preferably with exposure to accounts payable operations. Advanced proficiency in Excel and SAP; working knowledge of database tools, Adobe, Word, and Outlook. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into insights and actionable recommendations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage across departments and leadership levels. Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
