Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team in Knysna or Plettenberg Bay. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and managing payroll processes. This role requires fluency in both English and Afrikaans and proficiency in multiple accounting software systems.
Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate trial balances Handle VAT returns and ensure timely submissions Process payroll efficiently and accurately Complete and submit EMP201 and EMP501 returns Calculate and submit WCA and UIF contributions Maintain an up-to-date and accurate asset register Perform general bookkeeping duties as required Requirements: Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (written & spoken) Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance (minimum requirement) Experience working in a professional services firm (preferred) Ability to work with various accounting software, including: Xero Pastel & Pastel Payroll Sage Online QuickBooks Online MS Office 365 (Excel specifically)This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper looking to grow their career in a dynamic and professional environment.
