Overview Under general direction, administer company benefit plans and policies for active and retired employees. Collaborate with teammates to ensure tasks necessary to maintain accurate administration of company benefit offerings are completed timely. Conduct research and analysis of current benefit trends and present recommendations to management. Develop and implement changes to benefit plans or administration that comply with applicable legal requirements and union agreements. Assists in the development of communications strategies and delivers communications in individual or group settings. Provides a high level of HR customer service. This position will report in person on a hybrid schedule and may be based out of PPL's corporate offices located in either Louisville, KY or Allentown, PA or Providence, RI #PPL #INDPPL #LG&EKU #INDLGE #RIE #INDRIE Responsibilities Maintains confidential Company and employee information related to benefits programs and plans. Analyze, develop, and recommend benefit plans and programs that provide value to employees, are cost-effective for the company, and designed to ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements and ERISA reporting and disclosure requirements. Develops and manages vendor relationships. This may include managing request for proposal processes and negotiation of agreements. Coordinate with legal to ensure compliance with ERISA requirements for benefit plans (i.e., Summary Plan Descriptions, Determination Letter Filings, DOL and IRS audits, legislative mandates.). This includes ensuring updates/maintenance to benefit plan contracts, policies and master plan documents is completed. Manage benefits-related project implementations; define work plans and project scope, manage expectations, and lead internal and external teams to project completion. Works with Corporate Communications to develop and deliver communication plans and programs for employee This includes presenting benefit materials to groups of employees as needed by the business. Assist employees and other benefits staff members in solving program/vendors problems concerning complex eligibility and claims issues. Support the team in solving program/vendor issues concerning employee benefits. Educate the staff on legal compliance requirements and other associated benefit topics. Coordinate benefit program activities, such as open enrollment and retirement planning with other departments and other sections within HR and affiliated companies as necessary. Serve as resource for HR staff and affiliated company business units/departments to consult on benefit matters, problems, and administrative Provide technical support and training to other HR staff members in response to employee questions. Assists with and support union negotiations as needed. All other duties and projects as assigned, including travel to other company locations. In the case of remote work, physical presence in the office/on-site may be required to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree plus Five years’ experience in benefit plan processes and administration; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis is required. Proficient in use of MS business applications (Word, Excel, Power Point), windows-based software and Internet services. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or Accounting. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Expert knowledge of corporate benefit plans and policies. CEBS, CBP and/or CCP certifications. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment with a strong attention to detail. Strong customer focus and commitment to quality work products. Excellent communication skills and ability to conduct presentations and employee meetings. Demonstrated ability to prioritize requests, resolve issues on a timely basis, and meet deadlines. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and materials. Experience in a PeopleSoft or HCM environment.
