The Senior Auditor typically reports to the Manager, Internal Audit and Advisory Services. The incumbent has the authority to make decisions or commitments that require interpretation of the organization’s policies and procedures. More difficult decisions may be referred to superiors for their recommendations. Works with the Manager, Internal Audit and Advisory Services in defining fieldwork and testing roles and responsibilities. Assist in developing the audit plan including determining records or activities to analyze, the extent of tests to apply and the working papers to prepare. Delegate assigned duties to self, the Associate Auditor, and any co-sourced vendors. Review the Associate Auditor’s work product and perform fieldwork and testwork including the reviews of transactions, documents, records, reports and methods for accuracy and effectiveness. The Senior Auditor will hold preliminary discussions of apparent deficiencies with operating personnel to verify and to obtain explanations of and reasons for each apparent deficiency. Evaluates and document fieldwork and testing results. Documents draft results of internal audits/assessments/reviews as directed and makes recommendations for the correction of unsatisfactory conditions, improvements in operation and reductions in cost. Assists in performing assigned elements of the annual Risk Assessment; assists in continually maintaining risk management log and updates risk register. Tracks and monitors management remediation activities/action plans that result from audits/assessments/reviews. Works and coordinates activities with outside external vendors regarding co-sourced audit activities.The Senior Auditor will need to be proficient in MS Office Suite. Have the ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment. Have proficiency in audit tools and techniques, data analytics and possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with keen attention to detail. Salary range is $76,051-$93,946.Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time progressive experience in a risk management or, cybersecurity or, an external and/or internal auditing function; or
2. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a Health related field and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time progressive experience in a clinical administration, nursing, or related field.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
