Senior Associate - Enterprise Architect

Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per quarter

Primary responsibilities:
 

The Enterprise Architect (EA) sits within the Office of the CIO as a member of  the Enterprise Architecture Center for Enablement (C4E). The EA is a strategic partner and advisor to the business and technology teams providing proactive and holistic help in achieving their targeted outcomes including optimizing costs, mitigating risks and improving sustainability.  This includes influencing the introduction of new and/or emerging technologies and architectures as well as expansion of existing platforms in support of business challenges, and target outcomes.

 

Main responsibilities include:

 

Govern and manage the organization technology standards and patterns to help reduce complexity, risk, and improve quality and speed of delivery. Analysis of the business’ current and future-state capabilities and associated technology eco-system to detect critical gaps and opportunities recommending solutions for improvement to drive the business towards its targeted outcomes. Perform oversight activities for the Architecture Planning & Application Portfolio Management Platform to maintain completeness and accuracy of data. Provides architectural leadership, guidance and support for the broader architecture community to ensure architectural decisions and technology investments are aligned with Business and Technology strategy and objectives. Support analysis of our technology eco-system, including identification of key industry and technology trends to help advise IT architectural direction in-line with enterprise strategies. Support the refinement and advancement of the EA metrics program. Collaborates with delivery teams to promote and ensure consistent application of architecture patterns, standards, best practices, as well as to leverage shared technologies, tools and processes that impact quality, scalability, sustainability, speed to value and time to market. Proven experience in a technical architecture role, within the financial services industry Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience. Five or more years of business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an enterprise architecture consultant. Strong understanding of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics. Experience with enterprise architecture tools, related graphical models, and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF). Understanding of various operating models such as project-centric and product-centric and different types of agile principles, methodologies and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level. Proactive and results driven. Innovative with a focus on continuous improvement. Excellent at conflict resolution and negotiation; ability to influence.   Strong consulting skills such as targeted communications, engagement management, stakeholder management and business development. Knowledge of AI, Cloud, and emerging technologies

Salary range: $105,000-$160,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
