The **Enterprise Design & Research Team** is a global team of highly talented multi-disciplinary designers, researchers and writers. We are highly embedded within the digital product management organization and lead design efforts from concept through to production for the largest servicing channels for American Express, across web, mobile and push.
Our Design Operations colleagues play a critical role in building the best colleague experience for our design and research teams, so that they can play a critical role in building the world’s best user experience. We equip teams with the people, processes, tools, systems, methodologies, and partnerships needed to consistently deliver exceptional design at scale. As a **Senior Associate, Design Operations** you enable colleagues to do their best work by encouraging collaboration, defining best practices, and mitigating risk. You will support the team at large by collaborating with, and learning from, more senior team members working across a broad range of product journeys and team programs.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Co-creates project scopes, timelines, and processes in partnership with colleagues
+ Communicates with cross-functional teams regularly, and facilitates alignment and decision making throughout the project lifecycle
+ Utilizes productivity tools regularly and consistently to others informed
+ Partners with senior team members in the implementation, adoption, and refinement of process by co-leading artifact creation, training, and feedback gathering
+ Understands the end-to-end user experience lifecycle and consistently identifies and prioritizes opportunities to mitigate pain points, risk, and inefficiencies
+ Contributes to and upholds our practices by adopting and advocating for the use of existing systems, frameworks, and methods that support team goals, health, and maturity of practice
+ Makes recommendations that inform operational prioritization
+ Facilitates working sessions with peers and partners
**Minimum Qualifications**
As a **Senior Associate in Design Operations** you have at least 3 years experience in a role dedicated to improving ways of working that resulted in increased efficiencies, collaboration, and partnership.
+ Degree in interaction design, visual communication design, human computer interaction or a related field, or equivalent working experience
+ You have worked in a design, product, or engineering organization, or have partnered directly with design, product, or engineering in such an organization
+ You have helped shape new processes that have impact to team health and practice maturity
+ You advocate for and facilitate collaboration among partners and teams
+ You are able to regularly identify problems, opportunities, and next steps
+ You have strong written and verbal communication and are able to document and share processes and activities in an engaging way
+ You have consistently learned and applied new skills and methodologies relevant to your role
+ You are familiar with Jira, Confluence, Slack, Mural, and Airtable - or similar tools

**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits
