Senior Architectural Technologist

Job Description

The Houston office is looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our growing team.  This position will help to drive, innovate, and push the boundary of how technology can support and engage the design process. As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in our project teams with a focus on construction documentation and design.

The successful candidate would be a team of player who has a proven tack record of training and mentoring junior team members. They will work closely to help generate contract documents, coordinate drawing production, and monitor work undertaken by the production team.

Responsibilities:

Provide design support to Project Architects and Interior Designers.Produce BIM models and drawings based on office standards and procedures.Prepare plans, sections, elevations, details, and schedules.Work with the project team in design coordination and clash detection sessions.Review design layouts to find and resolve problems involving compatibility with basic design conceptsParticipate in design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make corrections to drawings as requested by Project Managers.Work with project team to execute projects on time and on budgetParticipate in maintaining and developing office standard details.Attend client meetings as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

University Degree in Architecture or Diploma in Architectural TechnologyMinimum of 10 years industry experience required.Detailed and task-oriented self-starter that is able to follow through on initiatives.In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Revit, with a minimum of 6 years’ experience using Revit on design/construction projectsGeneral knowledge of Enscape, Sketchup, and 3D software a plus.Experience working in an architectural production environment.Strong communication and time management skillsWorks well in a team environment

The salary range for this position is $58,274 - $87,411/year.
