Role description:
This role is part of Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis’ offices globally. This role will be responsible in managing technical aspects of smaller and/or less complex tasks or components of larger tasks, meeting financial, quality, time frame and health and safety objectives. Architect I should manage the delivery of elements of larger projects in accordance with Arcadis management systems to meet time, quality, budgetary and health and safety targets. Typically assigned to provide a controlling technical role on medium size and/or moderately complex tasks in single discipline. Coordinates and manages teams of single (own) discipline designers and technicians. This is a task Management Role in line with Arcadis Task Manager Academy competence requirements. This role works to ensure maximum internal stakeholder satisfaction, championing care and proactively working with internal stakeholders.
Role accountabilities:
Perform role in accordance with Arcadis behavioral framework. Review and quality assure the BIM models and drawings of other staff prior to delivery to ensure it meets the requirements of the Water Team. Follow BIM content standards and the of the developed procedures, to create 3D BIM models using Revit to a high level of accuracy. Develop, lead the production, and coordination of technical drawings (plans, sections, elevations and details) through all project phases—from Concept Design through to Construction Documentation. Guide the project team through the creative decision-making process and provide alternative solutions if there are changes to project parameters. Oversee an agreed scope of work and the operational workload of a project team, work is allocated appropriately, and resources are fully utilized. Interface with architects, engineers, our partners, and other consultants through clear communication and drawings, as or if required by the project tasks ensuring. Interact with our partners to coordinate BIM modeling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery. Identify opportunities for Arcadis process improvements that improve quality and/or improve efficiency. Lead and provide direction and technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery on the project and in their professional development. Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure effective communication of progress, changes and resolution of issues.Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, with demonstrable experience on public space related architectural programs (transit, civic, mixed-use) at different stages. Proficiency in Revit and BIM environment is an advantage. Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam and other pdf review software, versed in pdf drawings sets markups and comments for quality control and coordination. Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in architectural design works. Experience/knowledge working on North American market is a plus. You understand the design process and ability to deliver this from concept into detail design and understand how to identify and design key details, and onto to project completion. Review and quality assure the work of other staff prior to delivery to ensure it meets the requirements of the client’s brief. Understanding detail for compliance requirements e.g., building regulations and working knowledge of North American Building Systems, Regulations and construction types will be required for this role. Previous exposure an advantage, a training period expected.
