The Opportunity:
Provide Computer Network Defense (CND) systems and/or software tools to ensure and implement the Security Management/Monitoring services and capabilities within the Agency IT Enterprise specifically targeting Mission Island as well as any expanded IT Infrastructure across the Enterprise that requires a CND solution.
The Senior Application Engineer shall enhance and deploy the security posture of the Enterprise IT Infrastructure to include the TS, S, & unclassified networks.
The Senior Application shall enhance and modify IT Security COTS and GOTS products and tools relative to Hardware and Software platforms and to integrate those solutions into the Agency IT Enterprise.

Responsibilities:
Create ingest processors for disparate enterprise data sources.
Generate search engines for analyzing raw data sources.
Generate metrics and analytics for customer usage.
Translate customer-identified Use Cases into code that generates alerts (based on the Use Case).
Translate customer-identified general requirements across the project spectrum into executable code.
Create and conduct capacity and performance test (used for architecture build-out recommendations).
Update customer applications based on evolving requirements
Create/modify User Interfaces for customer audit of system logs and submitting security incident reports.
Review customer requests for new capabilities
Outline plans for accomplishing work and conduct work in a fast paced, changing environment with evolving requirements.
Interface with customer to define requirements, translate requirements into code, and perform customer testing/acceptance.
Seek efficiencies for processes/procedures for improving customer service delivery.

Qualifications:
Required:
Knowledge to troubleshoot network related support cases.
Cloud Infrastructure Management/knowledge
Providing maintenance and operational support for associated server hosts—optimization, scanning, patching, system/application upgrades.
Will maintain cloud policy and implementation (will work closely with Y6)
Configure VPCs
Education:
All experience and education will be in a technical field directly related to the labor category being proposed and all diplomas, GED certificates, and degrees will be from accredited institutions.
12 years minimum experience and a High School Diploma/GED.
10 years minimum experience and an Associate's Degree.
8 years minimum experience and a Bachelor's Degree.
6 years minimum experience and a Master's Degree.
4 years minimum experience and a Doctorate's Degree.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,300
