What is the Senior Analyst -Investment & Trade Operations- Investment Ops Brandywine Group responsible for?The Sr Analyst -Investment & Trade Operations will perform tasks related to the reconciliation of daily global cash and security positions across all investment portfolios managed by the firm of varied strategy and structure against custodian banks and fund accountants. The Sr Analyst-Investment & Trade Operations will correspond and interact with Trading, Client Service, Trade Processing and other internal teams at Brandywine Global, as well as with clients’ custodians and other external interested parties, in order to identify and bring to resolution any issues pertaining to reconciliation exceptions.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior -Investment & Trade Operations?Coordinate daily global cash reconciliation review for Equity and Fixed Income funds and/or separately managed accounts
Coordinate the research and resolution of discrepancies identified in exception reports, prioritizing high risk items and controlling the age of outstanding items
Monitor email communication for cash flow activity in funds and separate managed accounts.
Post to accounting necessary cash flow activity and cash adjustments identified from reconciliation exceptions
Instruct custodians to make corrections related to reconciling discrepancies
Perform month-end portfolio market value reconciliation (as needed)
Perform daily, weekly and monthly security position reconciliation as required (as needed)
Assist with maintaining team controls and performing four-eye reviews
Implement and maintain processes and procedures to support reconciliation and market evaluation
Assist with production process improvement to increase departmental efficiencies
Assist manager on miscellaneous tasks and projects as required
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?Organization and time management skills, with accent on proper prioritization
Adequate math and analytical skills
Strong professional language and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with security trade settlement, income accrual and other back-office processes preferred
Familiarity with FX, classical investments and derivatives preferred
Computer literacy, including MS Office suite (especially Excel)
Ability to work remotely required: including adequate personal computer equipment and internet connection speed
Ability to install and utilize certain applications on a personal mobile device required
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related fields preferred.
One to three years of experience in financial industry, preferably at a bank, brokerage firm or investment manager, in a position with similar responsibilities. Fund accounting familiarity helpful.
Work Shift Timings - 8:30 PM - 3:30 AM IST
