Senior Analyst – Claims Advisory
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Faith and Education Claims team at Marsh. As a Senior Analyst - Claims Advisory, you will assist customers in managing their claims and understanding the process. You will manage a portfolio of claims to ensure efficient and effective resolution. Location – Melbourne, 727 Collins Street, Docklands, Melbourne
Permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
Hybrid, minimum 3 days per week in office attendance
Monday - Friday (8:30am – 5:00pm)
Salary $74,000
We will count on you to:
Receive, record, and process all incoming insurance claims for assigned areas
Assist customers by explaining the features and benefits of various insurance products
Process insurance applications, adjustments to insurance cover, standard endorsements, and insurance claims
Interpret basic policy coverage and determine if the coverage applies to the claims submitted, escalating issues where needed
Set reserves and settle claims in the most cost-effective manner
Review and settle problematic and high-profile claims
Provide end-to-end management of a claims portfolio with a focus on achieving best outcomes
Devise claims strategy based on thorough assessment of claims prospects
Monitor ongoing claims administration to ensure efficient and appropriate handling of claims
Participate in team projects targeted at constantly improving processes and developing internal relationships
Service clients to a high standard
Assist in the preparation of reports on a quarterly and ad-hoc basis when required
Identify suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims, notifying the supervisor, arranging investigation, and briefing parties if further action is required
Provide information and feedback on claims activity and developing trends to enable appropriate actions to be carried out
What you need to have:
Relevant qualifications in insurance or a related field
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience in processing insurance applications and claims
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Experience in Liability and Industrial Special Risks, including Business Interruption claims would be highly regarded
