Overview

Individual Contributor to serve as a focal point of contact Core Application teams for parameter management support, for customer implementations and conversions, problems/issues and questions. Provide general support through research, analysis and consulting to internal and external customers. All projects impacting Switching configurations setup by CCM are supported by team members. Loyalty platforms and systems are also supported.

Job Description Summary

- Provide support for Core Systems configurations, both in of knowledge of how they function, and making actual configuration changes in support of internal partners and projects.

- Must be a strong team player with the ability to maintain positive business relationships across the organization in a rapidly changing environment. Requires delivery on commitments, executing with excellence, and demonstrating a sense of urgency when needed.


The Role

- Configures production environments to integrate technical knowledge and functional relationships of all systems, products and services.
- Addresses and resolves complex or unusual customer inquiries and issues escalated by more junior resources.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on implementation and configuration project activities and provides technical guidance to assist with troubleshooting efforts.
- Interprets and translates internal customer requests into parameter values across Mastercard internal systems to ensure compliance with Mastercard’s processing standards, specifications and rules.
- Contributes to process improvement efforts and initiatives to enhance the customer experience.
- Leverages technical expertise to explain technical concepts to senior team members.
- Provides training or explanations to extended team, internal Mastercard teams and potentially customers on Mastercard processing, products and services.
- Leads medium-sized projects/initiatives as an individual contributor with knowledge of Mastercard's products/services and implementation standards
- May act as vertical lead to provide mentorship and guidance for the more junior colleagues within a particular focus area


Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or equivalent work experience.


About You

- Two to five years of experience in Information Technology or related industry.
- Understanding of MasterCard’s payment processing systems, formats and associated customer host interface testing services and principles.
- Understanding of the four-party model and the full transaction life cycle for MasterCard brands.
- Driven individual who understands how to maintain consistency across a team.
- Ability to be work collaboratively but knows when to take the lead.
- Solid analytical skills.
- Able to communicate effectively across all levels on technical and non-technical nature.
- Payment experience a plus but not essential.
- Good project management and time management skills.
- Ability to manage change in a technical work environment
- Ability to understand theory/principles and apply it in the environment.
- Ability to work as a part of a cross functional team.
