Senior Analyst – Data Ops Pricing
Objective
Markets Security Services Data Ops Pricing is a shared service organization created in 2010 with in HTSO which provides Reference data information across entities with in HSBC Group.
The process is located in Bangalore and Colombo. We cater services to 3 main businesses namely Global Market, Securities Services and Private Bank.
Our clients are spread across the Globe coveringAsia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Middle East and North of Africa and Americas
The responsibility would be to own and manage along with Automation tools for enterprise reference data maintenance across various asset classes in the department (Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives FX Business)To ensure that all work is delivered within agreed timeframes and meets the required high quality standardTo deliver a high quality customer driven service which provides customers with a positive view of HSBC and meets their expectation in terms of accuracy, timeliness and professionalismUnderstand and deliver excellent customer service. Process customer instructions accurately to achieve agreed quality standards and targets (as amended or notified from time to time) on all the processes workedTo pro-actively suggest and design improvements in process workflowsTo ensure that common fraud / errors / irregular transactions are identified and escalated in accordance with procedures in a timely mannerTo understand and comply with all relevant policies and procedures issued by the Group and contained within the Group Standards Manual and relevant Functional Instruction Manuals, Desk Instruction Books and Process GuidesTo be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and to ensure that all actions take into account of the likelihood of operational risk occurringTo maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulatorsTo acquire and update knowledge on proceduresActivities:
To ensure that issues / problems are effectively investigated and resolved or are appropriately referred with recommendationsTo respond quickly to urgent work demands and be flexible with work timingsStakeholder managementRisk management, to be aware of Data Standards / CDEs and to be compliant as per HSBC policiesManage and evolve the automation tools / business rules of an ever changing businessAcquire good understanding of process and business applications as an Small and medium-sixed enterprisesPrepare up to date reports presentations for senior management meetings
