You will review various Nationwide forms to ensure good order and manage several different internal systems.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Handles complex/exception processing. Supports quality checks (QC) of work. Prepares and submits plan agreements and regulatory forms needed. Key contractual also may include agreement or compensation changes to plans.
Creates and uploads annual plan reviews (APR) and/or creation of regulatory fee disclosure notices, census packet generation/distribution, filing plan IRS extensions, creating amendment paperwork, highlights for enrollment kits, vesting files or termination processing underwriting notices.
Administers basic plans by completing periodic valuations, compliance testing, participant benefit statements, resolving appropriate benefits amounts and preparation of participant loan documents and development of amortization and repayment schedules.
Acts as the gatekeeper of customer emails and routing to appropriate location. May provide back-up email coverage as needed.
Assists forward facing roles in creating products to be delivered directly to clients. Identifies, prioritizes and delivers workflow, service and technology solutions.
Coordinates standard monthly and quarterly reporting and may provide ad hoc reporting for larger cases.
Assists in identifying business needs, service requirements, key issues, alternative solutions and resources for the clients and business.
Manages a specific process/function for the unit.
Provides training and onboarding for new hires, participates in continuous improvement/process pilot/change activities and represents team on project initiatives.
Conducts research, quality control functions and project work.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Operations Division Manager or Unit Manager and does not have direct reports.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in technical, business administration or related field preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: Participation in, or attainment of technical coursework such as LOMA, FLMI, CLU, ChFC, FALU or HIAA preferred. Some areas may require FINRA Series 6 license.
Experience: Three years of related experience, including, but not limited to, financial services and retirement plans.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of public sector retirement plans and services or financial services. Intermediate digital literacy; strong communication skills; data analysis; data integrity checks; decision making skills. Ability to effectively communicate. Ability to analyze and recommend solutions to business issues. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills. Working knowledge of the operational business model, including the products, services and processes of the related business unit. Ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with business unit and client. Ability to lead multiple tasks and projects. Ability to evaluate and recommend problem resolutions. Must be able to lead multiple tasks and projects. Must have the ability to research issues thoroughly, evaluate and recommend issue resolutions. Proven problem-solving skills, identifying problem situations and generating viable solutions.
