Senior Analyst, Operational Risk Controls & Governance

Job Description

What is the opportunity?
Responsible for maintaining a robust control environment and strong risk management culture by monitoring, assessing, and reporting operational risks and controls across Business & Client Services (BCS) functions to ensure appropriate oversight and alignment with broader Capital Markets (CM) initiatives and enterprise policies.

What will you do?

Work in global alignment and collaboration with the broader BCS Risk & Control Governance (R&CG) team to manage and improve US CM Operational risk and control oversight by executing activities such as, but not limited to:

Proactive review of key processes and associated risks;maintenance and optimization of BCS key control inventories;facilitation of quarterly control self-assessment cycles;conducting independent control evaluations to assess control design and operating effectiveness;robust incident management while ensuring data quality and linkages to risk/controls;participation in monthly and/or quarterly risk meetings with BCS functional teams and senior leadership;supporting R&CG management in change initiatives, standardization and automation related to assigned deliverables supporting BCS functional projects and broad enterprise initiatives; andmaintaining, standardizing, and improving risk focused governance and MI reporting.    

 
What you need to succeed?
Must-have

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field3-5 years’ experience in Capital Markets Operations / Operational Risk Management / Audit / ComplianceStrong relationship-building and team-building skills.A collaborative, solution-oriented and proactive/change mindset.Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.Ability to learn quickly and balance a diverse set of priorities.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Good time management skills.Comfortable working independently and in groups.Ability to analyze and present data in a structured manner.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $85,000 - $135,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
