**What you'll be doing**
The Senior Analyst, Investment Policy, Investment Management Research is responsible for researching and drafting investment policy guidelines (“IPG”) and corresponding research reports for all funds within the CIBC Asset Management universe. You'll have an active role in the ongoing monitoring and resolution of changes to the IPG. The IPG is a foundational document used by CIBC Asset Management’s various internal business partners, ranging from Investment Controls, Best Execution teams, Product Management and Portfolio Management. You'll be responsible for negotiating and drafting Investment Management agreements and amendments with assistance and advise from legal. You'll have a practitioner's knowledge of the Canadian regulatory environment, with a goal of using this knowledge in crafting practical fund guidelines in line with given regulatory standards. You'll apply expert interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills and represents the team to internal and external partners, and clients as a subject matter expert on the strategies under coverage by the team.

**Who you are**
+ **You put our clients first** . You have well-developed client and relationship management skills. You engage with purpose to find the right solutions.
+ **You have a degree in** Business, Finance, or a related field. **It's an asset if** you are a CFA charter holder or working towards it.
+ **You have minimum of 3 years of experience within** financial services, with practical knowledge of all types of investment products (i.e., equities, bonds, derivatives, alternatives, private investments etc.). You have practical knowledge of the Canadian regulatory environment and how it impacts various investment products
+ **You have demonstrated an ability** to interact with all levels of management, internal and external partners and have excellent interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills. You have the capability to work in a fast paced, results-oriented team, focused on execution for clients. Ability to spend focused amount of time in writing and researching investment guidelines and supporting Portfolio Managers and internal departments.
