Senior AI Scientist, Molecular Design - USA Remote

The Senior AI Scientist, Molecular Design is responsible for building, training and deploying GenAI molecular design models that drive significant impact to the organization. This position is part of the Danaher Enterprise AI team and will be Remote In this role, you will have the opportunity for: + Business Collaboration: Collaborate with subject matter experts at operating companies (or external parties) to understand business needs/strategic rationale then conceptualize/prioritize AI solutions that deliver measurable impacts while managing costs and risks. + AI Solution Development: Identify, evaluate, select, connect and deploy GenAI suites and tools that can support the prioritized innovation pipeline, e.g., protein and binder design, mRNA optimization, antibody optimization, etc at various operating companies or across the enterprise. + Data Management: Oversee data acquisition, preprocessing, and exploration to ensure the availability of high-quality fit-for-AI purpose data, and closing the insilico-wet lab feedback loop while maintaining data security, and compliance + Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, Thorough documentation of models, workflows, and research findings to enable knowledge sharing with product and engineering teams at operating companies and to ensure the seamless integration of AI solutions into production. + Mentorship and Development: Provide mentorship and guidance to Data Scientists within the team, fostering their professional growth and enhancing their technical skills and expertise. The essential requirements of the job include: + PhD in Computational Biology, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Physics, Applied Math, or a similar quantitative discipline. + 7+ years of industry experience in data science, AI, Bioinformatics, or a related technical field. + Proven experience in prototyping, building, and deploying AI systems. + Proficiency in Python programming and machine learning frameworks. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Working within the life sciences, diagnostics, or biotechnology industries. + Familiarity with Danaher operating companies and their focus areas. + Strong publication record in top-tier AI conferences and journals. The salary range this role is $180,000-$225,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
