Senior Agile Coach
Position Overview At International, Information Technology drives our organization forward. The Senior Agile Coach will serve as a key member of the International IT Agile Center for Transformation team. This position will help to define ARTs and Nexus-based teams and to coach those teams toward agile maturity as well as design and lead PI planning as part of both the expansion and the sustainment of International’s Agile at Scale. This role will collaborate closely with the IT Operations team and business leaders to expand and sustain International’s Agile at Scale methods and practices. The individual will work with IT and business partners to design, train and launch Agile Release Trains following International’s lean-based agile framework. This Senior Agile Coach will be a resilient and driven change agent who is passionate about digital transformation in a rapidly evolving transportation industry. Responsibilities Designs, plans and executes PI Planning with ARTs, Nexus-based teams and overall domains. As a change agent, drives shared accountability for PI and team-level outcomes. Facilitates agile ceremonies and events in line with International’s Agile at Scale, guiding teams towards healthy management practices and decision-making. Uses metrics to inspect and adapt team progress, performance and agile maturity. Leads a portion of the expansion of International’s Agile transformation across different domains / value streams to design, deliver and support software solutions and technology products. Drives and reinforces adoption of Agile at Scale practices, ensuring enterprise-wide adoption of standard working methods through training, coaching and mentoring. Leads drafting, review, publishing, and maintenance of Agile at Scale standards, processes and learning materials. Helps to assure staffing and placement of Scrum Masters for Agile teams. Aids the launch and sustainment of Agile communities of practice, contributes to the development of the Agile community mentoring and knowledge sharing. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 8 years of experience and certified scrum master OR Master’s degree At least 6 years of experience and certified scrum master OR At least 10 years of experience and certified scrum master Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Experienced in the use of LEAN and Agile practices to design, deliver and support technology solutions. Experienced as a Scrum Master in software delivery and support using DevSecOps and related tools. 2+ years of enterprise-wide agile experience Depth of knowledge in SAFe, LeSS and scrum-based frameworks to deliver technology solutions on a wide scale with agile. History of independent drive for results with high-performing teams and LEAN / Agile operating models. Experience delivering technology products while working in Agile and Scaled Agile constructs. Experience leading organizational change to adopt LEAN / Agile operating models at scale. Ability to coach Agile Release Trains and key roles such as Release Train Engineers and Product Managers Ability and willingness to act as Release Train Engineer, driving PI planning and agile execution. Demonstrated experience presenting to senior business and technology leaders. Ability to influence without authority. Experience collaborating with global and distributed teams. Comfortable with online facilitation, relationship building and virtual tools. Has contributed to the growth of agile communities through development of documentation of guidelines, processes, and practices. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Leads with empathy and radical candor. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Motivated to achieve high standards and measurable results, iterating towards operational excellence.
