Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Advisor, Christian & Church Engagement leads the growth of church engagement across a global network of World Vision Support Offices and Transitioning Field Offices. Working directly with a wide range of stakeholders at global, regional, and national levels, the Senior Advisor enables Church Engagement teams to build, implement, scale, and optimize strategies, capacity, capabilities, and innovation to deliver World Vision’s mutual value proposition to church partners. This includes equipping and supporting an engaged, effective Community of Practice who delivers innovative solutions, builds long-term collaborative relationships with church partners, and strengthens trust and engagement in churches globally.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and lead Church Engagement Community of Practice (CoP) across sixteen Support Offices (SOs) and Transitioning Field Offices (TFOs):
Lead and direct innovation with SOs and TFOs to strengthen long-term partnerships with churches, demonstrate field connection and impact, and build new acquisition, reactivation, and retention experiences.Facilitate community and collaboration across senior SO leaders of Christian and Church Engagement business units.Catalyse and facilitate SO and TFO contextualisation and sharing best practices. Manage early adoption, then scale and implement across other SOs.Lead and empower SOs to optimize Chosen and Church Advisor resources and marketing assets.Lead knowledge management of tools, resources, and best practices to scale best practice Church Engagement efforts.Lead the cross-functional engagements and collaborations between Support Offices, Global Faith & Development, and other relevant global and field leaders.Accelerate growth through Growth Priorities identified with Support Offices:
Lead development of strategy and offer framework for high-value partnerships, including megachurches and denominational/affinity church partnerships (i.e. partnerships with multiple churches together).Lead the building and strengthening of the Church Engagement channel through a cohort model that contextually aligns strategies, builds capabilities, and scales best practices to meet local realities.Lead the acceleration of new partnerships through multi-office strategies and experiences.Strengthen SO capacity, capacity building, and monitoring initiatives:
Lead Church Advisor Excellence Programme and Prospect Trainings to strengthen SO capabilities and train frontline staff to build partnerships.Support lead SOs to develop and scale Fundraising and Move Management best practices.Collaborate with SOs and TFOs to monitor results, grow capacity, and strengthen capabilities to optimize response rates with church leaders and congregations.Facilitate global and regional workshops to strengthen strategies, capabilities, and innovation.Lead strategic global partnerships and coordination across Country Offices (both Support Office and Field office) to grow pastor trust, familiarity, relevance, and outreach.
Develop and strengthen high-value partnerships with global denominations and parachurch organizations alongside partners’ host SO/NO.Collaborate closely with senior leaders across relevant SOs, ROs, NOs, and GC teams to cross-coordinate and build mutually valuable partnerships across WV’s global footprint and strategic partnership footprint.Co-lead and coordinate global partnerships.Lead the development of cohesive marketing funnel and up-funnel content that strengthens trust, familiarity, and relevance by leveraging resources and opportunities to serve churches.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.Advanced education, certification, or equivalent experience in fundraising, ministry, partnership management, marketing, and/or business development/sales.7-10 years of proven success employing cross-functional partnerships to increase the effectiveness of marketing or fundraising campaigns.7-10 years managing large-scale, complex projects variety of dependencies and stakeholders in international organisations.5+ years of marketing/fundraising in a church or parachurch ministry landscape.Experience working with Christian denominations, networks, or large mega-Christian churches.Proven effectiveness in building strong, collaborative relationships across departments and in cross-functional, cross-cultural, remote teams with a wide range of staff.Proven ability to influence and manage expectations of a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across a variety of different audiences and mediums.The position requires the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.For positions filled in the United States, the typical salary range for this role is $72,000 USD to $100,000 USD. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity, and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
