**Position Description:**
Performs managerial work providing direction and guidance in setting and achieving goals and objectives; developing policies; reviewing guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulations; establishing priorities, standards, and measurement tools for determining progress in meeting goals; coordinating and evaluating program activities; and establishing and monitoring budgets. **Major/Essential Functions:**
+ Contract Review and Analysis: Review IT contracts to ensure compliance with FERPA regulations and IT security standards, Identify potential risks and issues related to data privacy and security within contractual agreements. Provide recommendations for contract modifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
+ FERPA Compliance: Ensure that contracts involving student data comply with FERPA regulations, including the protection of personally identifiable information (PII) and directory information. Collaborate with the legal and contracting teams to interpret FERPA requirements and apply them to contractual agreements.
+ IT Security Compliance: Assess contracts for adherence to IT security standards and best practices, including data protection, confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Work with IT security teams to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and risks in contractual agreements.
+ TX-RAMP Compliance: Ensure that contracts involving cloud computing services comply with TX-RAMP requirements, including security assessment, certification, and continuous monitoring. Collaborate with cloud service providers to ensure they meet TX-RAMP certification levels and maintain compliance.
+ Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, IT, and procurement teams, to ensure a comprehensive review of contracts. Communicate effectively with vendors and external partners to address compliance-related concerns and negotiate contract terms.
+ Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of contract reviews, compliance assessments, and recommendations. Prepare and present reports on contract compliance status and identified risks to management.
+ Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on changes in FERPA regulations, TX-RAMP regulations, and IT security standards. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in contract analysis and compliance.
+ Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and other IT Division Leadership.
+ Adheres to all appropriate institutional policies (including IT OPs) and other relevant internal departmental policies.
