Job Description
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the processing and paying of disability claims in terms of the insurance policy and processes.Delivers on daily production standards and adheres to service and quality standards.Attend team meetings ensuring that daily objectives are met in accordance with work plans.Excellent daily planning and time management skills. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts.Detail focussed, thorough, analytical and diligent.Technical knowledge and understanding of risk claims and general knowledge of the common law, and other legislation.Disability claims processing experience advantageousSound judgement and decision-making skills.Ability to organize tasks by level of urgency, taking calls and communicating via email.This role will include contact with external parties such as clients / industry bodies etc.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.As part of their daily functions, they would get involved in the resolution of complaints, enquiries and disputes.Ability to withstand significant work pressureKey Result Areas
May act as mentor to less experienced administrators.Delivers on daily production standards – meets expected service level agreementsFollows processes and provides administrative support in line with normal business functioning.Provides a service to customers and intermediaries.Responds to immediate administrative requirements within procedure.Uses standard administrative techniques to coordinate own work.Ensure regulatory and legislative compliance.Responds to queries from internal and external customersApplies the rules of the relevant policies of insurancePersonal Effectiveness:

MatricPost Matric Qualification AdvantageousWorking knowledge of Old Mutual internal systems (Compass, AWD, EMS etc.)Previous Customer Service Experience an advantagePrevious experience in risk claims processing disability claims an advantageAbility to communicate in two or more of South Africa’s official languages.Understanding of OM Superfund products and processes an advantage
