One of our top technology customers is hiring for a Senior Accounting Consultant to join the team. Can sit in San Francisco or Atlanta in a hybrid model.
Day to day: SSP analysis and related 606 activities including memo writing, supporting the revenue team and business on revenue inquiries related to strategic contracts and new go to market strategies
In this role, the Senior Manager- Revenue Recognition will be a key contributor on the technical accounting team primarily supporting the SSP program. This role heavily focuses on supporting the company’s SSP program and includes data and process enhancement projects. This individual will be a subject matter expert in the company’s ASC606 policies, products, and revenue system. The Senior Manager will provide support to our internal revenue team and business partners. The Senior Manager will be tasked with enhancing existing processes as well as reviewing/advising on compliant ways to and implement new go to market initiatives. This role is an independent contributor.
•Prepare or review revenue recognition assessments related to key SOX controls over the company’s SSP methodologies.
•Lead revenue analysis and preparation of metrics to enhance SSP insights, identify trends, and surface trends to leadership and business partners.
•Participate in cross-functional work streams to ensure risks related to SSP program are mitigated.
•Support audit requests from internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth quarterly and year-end review and audit processes.
•Lead process design and system implementation related to new product offerings or M&A to ensure scalable revenue processes.
•Identify gaps in existing processes and recommend solutions.
•Implement and enhance automation to drive efficiency for the SSP program.
•Draft memos and presentations to gain alignment with and influence the team’s business partners.
•Provide technical accounting support to Revenue Management Teams
Qualifications
•Degree in accounting or relevant field; MBA or Masters’ degree is a plus.
•CPA designation is highly desirable.
•8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including 3+ years focused on revenue recognition or revenue accounting.
•Experience in a public company environment, with familiarity in working under Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and SEC reporting.
•Strong background in applying ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) and other relevant accounting standards.
•Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and solve problems in ambiguous environments.
•Ability to articulate verbally and written, willingness to appropriately explain difficult issues; ability to think quickly and thoughtfully.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130.00 - $150.00/hr.
