Position Summary:This role will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, preparing accurate financial statements, and managing contract-related financial activities, including revenue recognition, cost tracking, compliance, and any special projects as assigned.
+ Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries and ensure proper account reconciliation.
+ Responsible for monthly schedules and journal entries.
+ Review and approve journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
+ Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
+ Prepare various schedules and analyses as needed.
+ Process and review contract-related invoices and payments, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
+ Prepare contract-related financial reports and summaries for management.
+ Maintain a comprehensive understanding of contract agreements to ensure proper accounting treatment.
+ Assist the year-end audit process in coordination with the independent auditors and internal accounting staffs.
+ Maintain all required reports, records, and files in an organized and accessible manner.
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial reporting and reconciliation.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting-Required. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on both general and contract accounting. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Access.
