Description Our client, a leading name in the manufacturing industry dedicated to excellence in production and innovation. We are working with this well-established company to find a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for growth and stability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is an onsite position - no remote applicants will be considered. Responsibilities: + Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP. + Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries. + Manage general ledger activities and maintain accuracy of financial records. + Develop, enhance, and enforce internal controls while streamlining processes to improve efficiency. + Provide financial reports and insights to support leadership in decision-making. + Oversee and support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. + Collaborate with operations teams to monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and variances. + Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis to actual results. + Ensure compliance with audit, tax, and regulatory requirements for the manufacturing sector. Requirements + 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the manufacturing industry. + Experience with QuickBooks is highly preferred. + Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.). + Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. + Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting principles is a must. + Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
