Description A highly regarded organization in Solana Beach, CA is partnering with Robert Half to hire a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: + Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP. + Reconcile complex general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently. + Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, preparing journal entries and accruals. Variance Analysis & Budgeting: + Conduct monthly variance analysis and provide recommendations for managing costs and improving financial performance. + Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with company goals. Compliance & Auditing: + Assist in coordinating annual audits and resolving audit findings. + Maintain compliance with tax regulations and other financial statutes, collaborating with external tax advisors as needed. Process Improvement: + Develop and implement best practices and internal controls to optimize accounting workflows. + Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues. Requirements + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred. + Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including technical accounting and financial reporting. + Technical Proficiency: Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables). + Key Traits: Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
