The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing applicable duties and overseeing various accounting and finance functions of the organization. This position ensures compliance with all applicable tax and accounting regulations and manages the preparation and filing of all necessary financial statements. The successful candidate has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles and processes.

Essential Job Functions

Assist in the preparation of all necessary financial statements and ensure that all financial reporting is accurate and timelyDevelop and implement treasury policies and procedures to maximize company and shareholder returnMonitor the accuracy of financial data and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recordedAnalyze financial data for patterns, trends, and anomalies, and recommend corrective action as necessaryPrepare and review various audit schedules and provide requested information to company’s internal and external auditorsResearch applicable US GAAP and tax regulations to develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulationsPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsProvide financial guidance and support to department heads, and ensure that all financial decisions are in alignment with the organization’s strategic goalsOther duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) licenseAdvanced knowledge of GAAP and federal and state tax lawsStrong organizational and time management skillsAble to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
