As a Senior Accountant at VillageCare, you will play a crucial role in overseeing account reconciliations, journal entries, and account reviews for month-end closing, quarterly reporting, and annual audit tasks. The position's dynamic structure involves focusing on month-end close activities in the first two weeks, collaborating with various departments, and dedicating the latter half of the month to account requisitions, reconciliation reviews, and preparing for the upcoming month. Your responsibilities will also encompass researching and investigating issues, analyzing additional cash postings, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. Additionally, you will contribute to management and statutory reporting, participate in project automation, and integration efforts to enhance operational efficiency.\nAre you the Senior Accountant we're looking for?\n

To excel in the role of Senior Accountant at VillageCare, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a strong preference for experience within the managed care industry. Medicaid and Medicare accounting experience required. A minimum of 3 years of general accounting experience, including a blend of public accounting and private industry exposure, is highly preferred. Proficiency in financial software and tools is crucial, along with a comprehensive understanding of account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting processes.\n

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information.
