Primarily responsible for partnering with accounting leadership on various functions related to SEC reporting, technical accounting research, month-end close, and ad-hoc special projects according to business demands. Responsibilities include producing accounting memorandums and financial reports, performing calculations, and organizing support for SOX controls and reports.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the month-end close process and have a strong understanding of internal control concepts.Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.Assist with accounting for share-based compensation arrangements.Perform research and assessment of technical accounting matters and disclosure requirements for significant, unusual, and/or complex transactions or changes in accounting standards.Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assist with the implementation of new standards.Assist with drafting SEC financial reports and coordinate support for tie-outs.Prepare and/or review SOX documentation.Assist with responding to internal and external audit requests in connection with quarterly reviews and annual audits.Perform other job-related functions, special ad hoc requests, and special projects as assigned.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting required.5+ years of professional related work experience, including 3 years at a Big 4 accounting firm.Experience with general ledger, GAAP, journal entries, and reconciliations.Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.CPA certification is strongly preferred.Work Environment
Onsite in Boca Raton, FL. The location is easily accessible to Tri-Rail, and the company provides a paid shuttle to the Boca Tri-Rail station.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
