Senior Accountant, Accounting-2

Overview:
The Senior Accountant, Accounting reports to the Director, Accounting and serves as a support function to the Corporate Controllership team located in Purchase, NY. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial statements by performing key procedures in collaboration with the Business Unit and Regional Controllers and Global Business Shared Services. The Senior Accountant will support the Directors across verticals within Corporate Controllership included by not limited to Rebates and Incentives, Treasury, and Financial Reporting in monthly and quarterly activities.
Role:
•\tEnsures integrity and accuracy of financials for certain verticals within Corporate Controllership and has responsibility for ensuring compliance with policy and external and Corporate accounting requirements
•\tPrepares monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc management reporting including variance analysis and executive presentations
•\tAssist in accounting research and provide recommendations on various topics to support Corporate Controllership
•\tAssists in preparation of technical accounting memorandums and ensures appropriate accounting treatment as well as alignment with the approved business case
•\tSupports a strong control environment by establishing, monitoring and enforcing operational and SOX controls based on corporate guidelines and general governance standards. Identify areas where controls can be strengthened
•\tAssists with the implementation of process improvements

All About You:
•\tFluent in English
•\tDegree in Accounting; Certification as CPA or equivalent is required
•\tStrong knowledge in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
•\tStrong analytical skills with experienced reviewing and analyzing for appropriate accounting treatment
•\tPerform accounting research to assist with special projects
•\tProactively builds relationships with business partners
•\tExperience executing controls and assessing their effectiveness
•\tProficient PC skills, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Hyperion & Oracle a plus
