Senior Account Manager - Communications Consulting (REMOTE, North America Wide)

You will focus on the accurate and timely delivery of work, ensuring commercial success for both client and agency. This is the ideal role for someone who is motivated and talented in building client relationships and managing multiple projects to tight deadlines. How you'll make an impact Client Delivery: Coordinate and assist with planning, account governance, and establishing and maintaining project timelines Participate actively in client calls and coordinate client meetings e.g. take a central role in scheduling, capturing minutes, and participating in discussions on specific materials you are responsible for Carry out regular client reviews to optimize ways of working Develop, implement, and manage project plans in collaboration with the client and the internal team Initiate and promote continuous improvement of procedures, processes, standards to gain cost effectiveness and efficiency, and execute implementation Build and maintain strong client relationships Meet regularly with clients’ team to plan and progress activity Support the growth of our communications offer through opportunities to grow clients Manage the level of service provided to assigned accounts to meet revenue, profitability and retention goals and client expectations Develop and deliver detailed, accurate and timely revenue forecasts to principal consultants Relationships: Build strong relationships and own day-to-day account and project management activities to ensure effective project implementation Brief creative teams in a simple, concise way, ensuring, at all times, that they are fully aware of the client’s requirements and have a written brief Assist where possible with the coaching and development of more junior members of the team for example, Account Executives and Account Managers Proactively support your manager, suggesting new ideas and questioning thinking where appropriate Build and maintain relationships with creative, operations and the wider team (including suppliers) Mitigate project conflicts by proactively seeking outcomes that are acceptable to all stakeholders Administration: Daily task management, ensuring project status is kept up to date Weekly completion and distribution of client status reports during live projects Completion and distribution of meeting minutes and action items within 24hrs of a client meeting Ensure all jobs have a statement of work approved by internal stakeholders and the client Accurately record all chargeable and non-chargeable time Case study creation Liaise with suppliers to obtain invoices for the monthly invoicing process, where required In addition Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business About You Graduate degree in journalism or related, relevant field or equivalent Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as required to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills Must be organized, detail oriented and able to translate big picture ideas into client objectives Specific experience in project management, problem solving skills, sound judgement, strong decision-making ability, confidence to make difficult decisions Excellent communication skills Creative agency, marketing, communications, consultancy or HR communication experience required Strong organizational, management and account planning skills with demonstrated analytical thinking and strong attention to detail Work in a fast-moving agency team environment with a high degree of complexity while also being able to operate independently and provide appropriate information and direction to other colleagues Provide effective, accurate, clear communication to internal team members and clients Ability to interact in a professional manner with clients and other departments within Gallagher Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Ability to lead team development and motivate others Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that instils good working relationships within the team and with clients, co-workers, and management Excellent troubleshooting, decision making and problem-solving skills Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to multitask and successfully operate in a fast-paced work environment; prioritize projects and meet deadlines Ability to follow through on and successfully execute tasks while adhering to specified quality standards Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Creative and technical copywriting and copy-editing Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
