SEM Campaign Manager

We need you to join the growing Performance Marketing team for the US HP.com Store to help find the creators, the inventors, and the geniuses of tomorrow who will leverage HP technology to change the world.

We are looking for an experienced and data-driven SEM Campaign Manager to oversee all paid text-based search campaigns within the US HP.com e-commerce Paid Search team. 

The SEM Campaign Manager will be responsible for the strategy, implementation, analysis, and optimization of performance-focused media campaigns across primary and secondary search engines, including Google and Bing. They will actively manage media campaigns via 3rd-party bidding platforms.

The ideal candidate brings years of hands-on experience with SEM campaigns and will be both analytical and creative, always looking for new opportunities to test and optimize to exceed business performance goals. This role will also partner with search engine account teams to ensure that HP stays at the forefront of industry best practices, betas, and trends.

Expected Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end SEM campaign strategy, planning, and execution - adjusting based on KPIs and company priorities

Supervise daily management of seasonal and non-seasonal media campaigns across US HP.com’s portfolio of products

Define and manage search engine auto-bidding strategies

Launch SEM campaigns and target audience strategies as new products come to market and customer segments are introduced

Ensure ad creative and extensions support the marketing calendar, seasonal promotions and offers

Generate quarterly & ad hoc program forecasts and advise on Paid Search channel investment decisions

Monitor campaign performance and weekly pacing versus quarterly business plans

Create a campaign project and testing roadmap that leads to actionable insights and pathways to core optimizations, seeking test opportunities through new media partners, ad formats, engine features, and technologies

Run tests, analyze results and clearly communicate learnings across the Paid Search team and greater US HP.com organization

Stay up-to-date with SEM best practices, bid management platforms and industry research

Education and Experience Sought:

5+ years of hands-on experience in SEM campaign management (Google and Bing); performance-focused campaign experience is a plus

Experience with 3rd-party campaign and bid management platforms (e.g. SA360, Marin Software or Skai)

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, pivot tables and Power Point; comfortable manipulating datasets from various platforms

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related field

Google Ads and Microsoft Ads certification is preferred

Other Knowledge and Skills Sought:

 Creativity and curiosity around what can be tested to enhance campaign performance

Positive attitude and willingness to work in fast-paced team environment is a must

Highly detail-oriented with proven project management and organizational skills

Ability to link interactive plans and activities to business results

Strong analytical, problem identification + solving skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills
