About the team and the role:

The eBay Global Government Relations (GR) team advocates for sound ecommerce public policy around the globe on behalf of our customers and our company. As the leader in the recommerce revolution, the Government Relations team leads the charge in making sure that global policy makers understand the importance of healthy online marketplaces for entrepreneurs and local small businesses. In this role, you’ll join an established team working with European policymakers and support their work by engaging and activating eBay sellers to join us in this fight.

What you will accomplish:

Work for the original online marketplace as it continues to grow and evolve, enjoying and inclusive, friendly and supportive work environment.Join a team of seasoned GR professionals that will help you grow and advance your career.Recruit European sellers for a variety of activities, including legislator meetings, legislator facility visits, media interviews and more.Support and manage events in Brussels and country capitols allowing sellers to meet with their legislators.Work with our existing community of seller advocates to keep them informed and engaged.Use your excellent communication skills to create and maintain relationships across eBay to help further GR goals.

What you will bring:

You will bring a positive, friendly and outgoing attitude to this role that allows for highly effective communication internally and externally.Being organized and focused with an ability to shift quickly when needed is critical to success in this role.A background in recruitment and/or community organizing is required.Experience organizing and managing in-person events is desired.Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required with the ability to speak at least one other EU language (French, Italian or Spanish preferred).eBay believes strongly in work-life balance, but this role will require nights and weekends at certain times as the team launches large scale seller events.
