Segment Market Manager AgChem
This is the role The Segment Market Manager is responsible to develop and manage market strategies and activities that turn into profitable growth for the Agro-chemical market. This role will develop and translate market strategies into actionable market execution plans and is accountable for delivering results within the defined strategies. The role is preferably based in the US, either in our corporate headquarters in Kingsport (TN) or home based and will require occasional travel to our corporate headquarters in Kingsport (TN) if home based. Typical tasks and responsibilities are • Develop and execute long-term strategic market plans to create a growth pathway for new Agro-chemical market segments and achieve established financial targets. • Conduct market research to identify new growth opportunities and extract customer insights for translation into growth projects • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to accelerate and grow the innovation pipeline • Build strong relationships with key Eastman customers and stakeholders in the Agro-chemical industry. • Monitor market competition, product substitution threats, and regulatory changes. • Lead cross-functional segment team, focused on overseeing variable margin improvement opportunities and ensuring financial targets are achieved. • Deliver compelling presentations to internal and external stakeholders. • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices. • Develop and coach experienced strategic marketing direct report(s), Market Development Manager(s). Currently 1 direct report with potential to add. Your background and qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in bio-chemistry or related field. • Additional degree or experience in Strategy or Strategic Marketing is strongly recommended. • You possess at least 10 years of industry experience, preferably in the Agro-chemical space. • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. • Strong financial and economic acumen. • Strong customer engagement and discovery skills. • Strong ability and experience preferred in navigating matrix organization, driving alignment, to build new growth platforms and/or implement business transformation projects. • You have great collaboration skills which enable you to build a strong network both in internal and in the industry. • You are persistent in pushing forward innovation.
