Regional Asia Sales manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead marketing and sales activities related to products, systems, and services within the defined industry segments, for the assigned area. Each day, you will ensure that the division and related sales units substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the selected market segments. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing a market-based strategy including direct, third party, and project sales and enhancing cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market segment. The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation in Measurement & Analytics in India Region.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tDeveloping and executing industry segment strategy, including market presence, execution standards, and delivery model.•\tDriving profitable growth through market penetration, innovation, and expansion while achieving key targets (e.g., volume, prices, portfolio mix).•\tLeading and managing segment team members to enhance sales efficiency, performance, and cross-division collaboration.•\tBuilding strong relationships with key customers and external influencers to capture new business opportunities and reinforce ABB’s value proposition.•\tEnsuring visibility in target segments through marketing communication, customer events, and trade fairs while leveraging intelligence for market trends and competitor analysis.•\tManaging risks, negotiating legal and commercial agreements, and utilizing reporting tools to measure progress and identify future opportunities

Qualifications for the role

\tB.E. in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation with 12 to 15 years of experience in business development and front-end sales in the Chemical and Low Carbon sectors.\tStrong expertise in Portfolio Management, Business Strategy, Market Intelligence, and Go-to-Market Strategy.\tProven ability in Customer Experience Success, Regulation & Legal Compliance, Pricing Excellence, and Budget & Performance Targets.\tSkilled in Account Management, Business Development & Adoption, Sales Enablement, and General Sales Practices.\tStrong competency in Solution/Application Sales Engineering and Contract & Risk Management.
